 Parent Networks

FAN believes in the value of parents talking with parents about important issues in their lives and the lives of their children.  Take advantage of this opportunity:

Monday, November 2, Five Minds for the Future
Parent Discussion Groups

1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, Winnetka Community House, Rooms 203, 204 and 206, 620 Lincoln Ave., Winnetka, IL

Join with parents from New Trier Township for lively facilitated discussion groups following Howard Gardner’s Oct. 29 evening presentation. Parents will be divided into groups based upon age of child(ren) -- elementary, middle and high school – and the 3 groups will meet simultaneously in different rooms. Each discussion group will be facilitated by a well-known Township educator, including New Trier High School (Winnetka) Principal Tim Dohrer, Ph.D., NTHS Social Work Dept. Chair Tom Golebiewski, Ph.D., and prominent others to be confirmed. Dr. Gardner has graciously agreed to provide a few “activating” questions or observations for each group to consider and discuss. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to engage in a dialogue with each other, with expert guidance. What’s not to like? 2 separate sessions, one at 1:00 PM and one at 7:00 PM, to accommodate working parents. Attendance will be capped, and reservations will be necessary, so don’t wait until the last minute to sign up. Sign up now!
