I Just Want My Kid To Be Happy! Why You Shouldn’t Say It, Why You Shouldn’t Think It, What You Should Embrace Instead

Aaron Cooper, PhD. author, teacher and psychologist

Thursday, April 30, 2009 , 7:00 - 8:30 PM,
McKenzie Elementary School Auditorium,
649 Prairie Ave, Wilmette, 60091  Map

McKenzie Elementary School and the Family Awareness Network of New Trier Township (FAN) are partnering to present Aaron Cooper, Ph.D., author of I Just Want My Kids To Be Happy: Why You Shouldn't Say It, Why You Shouldn't Think It, and What You Should Embrace Instead. Many parents devote themselves to their child’s happiness, clearing their child’s path of all obstacles and unhappy experiences, and yet recent studies suggest that kids are less happy than ever. What’s the correct approach to securing authentic happiness rather than simply short-term pleasures for kids? Dr. Cooper is an award-winning author, teacher, speaker and psychologist for over thirty years. A graduate of Harvard, Northwestern and Loyola of Chicago, he is affiliated with The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Join us for an informative and thought-provoking lecture. Everyone welcome! For more information, visit Dr. Cooper’s website at www.mykidshappiness.com, or contact McKenzie Elementary School at 847-251-2295.
